A Book of Seasons by Sally Beamish is a contemporary work for solo violin and chamber ensemble. The piece is divided into eight short sections depicting the four seasons and the four elements. A Book of Seasons was commissioned by Birmingham Contemporary Music Group with financial assistance from West Midlands Arts and investors as part of the BCMG's Sound Investment scheme. It was first performed by Lyn Fletcher, violin, and the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group in 1996.
