Adler was the recipient of a crowdfunded commission from brilliant young euphonist Evan Kelsick and wrote A Euphonious Quartet in response. In a modified A-B-A format, the opening movement begins slowly, before breaking into its main section, "fast and bright." A short but very expressive second movement is contrasted by a "fast and furious" third, broken up momentarily by a waltz-like element before racing to the end. For advanced performers.
