He's done it again! The master arranger, Hal Hopson, has penned another stirring setting of an age-old hymn, this time with Martin Luther's powerful Reformation tune. After a rhythmic introduction for organ with optional brass and timpani, the first two stanzas are set for unison choir and congregation. Stanza 3 ("And though this world, with devils filled") is exceptionally programmatic, as the choir sings the mighty tune in unison over a chromatic organ accompaniment. Brass and timpani reenter on Stanza 4 as the choir and congregation join together in the final refrain. A truly exciting addition to your choral repertoire.
