Bramböck introduces students to the signature sound of Afro-Latin jazz, which fuses the sounds and rhythms of Africa with Caribbean dance forms. Instantly familiar classics such as La Cucaracha, Cielito lindo, and Guajira Guantanamera are augmented by many of Bramböck's original works in various styles: the Cha-cha, Merengue, and Calypso, and more. Intermediate-level students can work on rhythmic elements while developing their ensemble playing skills.
