Thanks to the reissue of Jacob van Eycks "Fluyten Lust-hof" (Amsterdam, 1644/46) four of the pieces published in this edition are very well known to recorder players: ,"Ballet de Grevelinge", "Prins Roberts Masco","Nachtegael" and ,"Amarilli mia bella".
These and the two other compositions are taken from an almost contemporary collection (also printed in Amsterdam in 1646).We chose pieces especially well suited for recorders. - M Nitz
