9 Pieces from the Anna Magdalena Bach Book -sc. Contributors: Bach. Recorder Duets (SA). Score. Publisher's category: Recorder Duets.

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 O.S. – 1750 N.S.) was a prolific German composer and organist whose sacred and secular works for choir, orchestra and solo instruments drew together almost all of the strands of the baroque style and brought it to its ultimate maturity. His forceful suavity and vast output have earned him wide acknowledgment as one of the greatest composers in the Western tonal tradition.
The Anna Magdalena Bach Book was compiled by Bach for his second wife, whom he married in 1721. It was intended for her musical instruction and contains many small keyboard pieces, as well as a number of song and chorale settings. Most of the compositions in the book are by Bach himself.
Several of the easier pieces have been selected for the present booklet.
