2 Oboes, 2 Clarinets in Bb, 2 French Horns in F, 2 Bassoons, Toys (Percussion, one player), Popgun, Heavy Cloth for Ripping, Boing Box, Toy Drum, Sticks, Toy Cymbals, Harmonica (D#5, F#5), Squeeze Toy, Bird Whistle (Water Type), Moo Cow (Cylinder which when turned over gives animal sound), Crying Doll, Jawbone of an Ass (Vibra-slap), Toy Cowbell, Baby Rattle, Flexitone, Large Old-Fashioned Taxi Horn ("C" if possible) - squeeze bulb type, Small Bike or Trike Horn ("Bb" if possible) - squeeze bulb type, Toy Xylophone (actually glockenspiel, i.e. metal bars) (G4, A5, B5, C5), Slide Whistle, Music Box*, Doggie Pull Toy, Bike Bell, Saucepan, Wooden Spoon, 2 Inflated Balloons, Ice pick or pin, *If an actual music box with a custom-built cyclinder is not feasible, a recorded or off-stage celesta or piano may be used along with a dummy music box. If piano is used, the passage should be played, an octave higher than written, and with the pedal down throughout.
