Seldom does the percussion ensemble have the opportunity to perform melodic music of depth, beauty, and sensitivity. A 5-octave marimba is necessary for one player in the ensemble, which is comprised of orchestra bells (with a brief shared instrument passage on marimba), chimes, vibraphone, and 3 marimbas (6 players total).
