Ballade [CF:B3403]

Ballade was commissioned and written for cellist Andre Emelianoff, as an homage to Brahms. It suggests dark colors, compact rhetoric, intricate counterpoint and the formal rigor closely associated with the master composer. Premiered on June 1, 2004 in New York City, this work will add an old world feel to your concert or recital.
