Commissioned by the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Brer Raccoon features features full narration, accompanied by multiple musical reflections of the story elements. The folktale was adapted by Celestine Bloomfield, collected by Joel Chandler Harris, and brought to musical life by Bond.
