Three Choral Songs
For Bresnick's 1985 choral composition, he chose three poems of Yehuda Amichai: Roshi, Roshi, Began Katan, and Tosefet Lechazor Hashalom. Commissioned by and dedicated to the Connecticut Hebrew Chorale. Anthony Tommasini (New York Times) describes the Three Choral Songs as "mystical yet harmonically astringent settings of texts on themes of pain, comfort and war."
