Corbetta (1615-1681) was a leading guitarist and composer for the guitar of his day. He spent most of his professional life in high royal circles in France, England and his native Italy, and was licensed by Louis XIV by publish Le Guitarre Royale, dedicated to the King. In the English court he was a guitar teacher to Queen Anne.
