The Kostowa-Giesecke-Duo (Wessela Kostowa, marimba; Mark Andreas Giesecke (1964-2004), vibe) were the first European percussion soloists in the tradition of the New York Competition ever to be invited to play the semifinal live round in New York City in 1994.
