Mozart composed four divertimenti in Salzburg in 1772 between journeys to Italy. The term "divertimento" implies one-on-a-part chamber music. Scored for 3 C flutes , one alto and one bass (bass doubling the alto), this piece can be performed with either a flute quartet, quintet, or by a flute choir.
