Gabriel Urbain Faure was born in Pamiers, Ariege, Midi-Pyrenees (France) on May 12th, 1845. He died of pneumonia in Paris, on November 4th, 1924. He was given a state funeral at the Elise de la Madeleine, and is buried in the Cimetiere de Passy in Paris.
