"Evensong" and its partner work "Shift" set texts by Mary Virginia Micka. Both works were commissioned and premiered in 2007 by WomanVoice - a concert of music for womens voices by women composers. The premier was conducted by Patricia C. Connors with Charles Parson, organist. "Evensong" can be performed with organ or piano accompaniment.
