A joyously majestic setting of the "Gloria in excelsis," an ancient Latin text that originally appeared in the first century A.D. as a morning prayer. Known as the "hymnus angelicus," or angel hymn, it begins with the words that the angels sang at Christ's nativity: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will." (Luke 2: 14). (Optional InstruPax available separately).
