This collection of violin works by Fritz Kreisler includes: La Gitana , Polichinelle Serenade, Aucassin and Nicolette and Toy-Soldiers March. All written around 1917 are programmatic in nature. La Gitana (The Gypsy) is a Arabo - Spanish Gypsy Song of the 18th Century. Aucassin and Nicolette is a medieval canzonetta. Toy-Soldiers March features imitation between the violin and piano and Kreisler may of viewed this as a teaching piece. Reprint edtion.
