Exaudi Deus a 7 -ScP. Contributors: Gabrieli, G. Recorder Sextets etc. (AATTTBB). Score and Parts. Publisher's category: Recorder Sextets etc..
This piece is taken from Gabrieli s Sacrae Symphoniae, Venice, 1597. The most remarkable feature is its very low pitch, with the two lowest parts written in the sub-bass clef (F on top line), normally an indication that some upward transposition is intended. In the present transcription we have transposed the music up a fifth, which still keeps all parts in male-voice territory.
