This gem of a collection was commissioned for Juilliard’s pre-college Music Advancement Program. The ever-imaginative Hailstork has created a book of 11 short, contrasting works for performance, at a perfect level within reach of dedicated students, and delightful for advanced performers as well. The etudes may be performed individually, in groups, or as an entire 20-minute opus. Given the range and practicality of the ELEVEN STUDIES, they work equally well for saxophone or flute!
