Originally written as a suite for piano four-hands in 1871, Georges Bizet (1838-1875) orchestrated five of the twelve movements of Jeux d'Enfants in 1880. A precursor to other childhood-themed works by Debussy, Faurİ, and Ravel, the work remains a common part of the orchestral repertoire. The petite suite includes the following movements: 1. Marche: Trompette et Tambour (Trumpet and Drum), 2. Berceuse: La Poupİe (The Doll), 3. Impromptu: La Toupie (The Top), 4. Duo: Petit Mari, Petite Femme!..., and 5. Galop: Le Bal.
