Ulysses Kay's Pantomime Fantasy balances its lively, light-hearted nature with challenging show-off passages, making for a dynamic and exciting piece. Mentored by William Grant Still at the University of Arizona, Kay was an impressive composer by any metric, winning a Fulbright Scholarship, the prestigious Rome Prize, and a Julius Rosenwald Fellowship.
