Kemps Jig. Contributors: Merryweather (arr). Recorder Trios (NAB/AAB). Publisher's category: Recorder Trios.

Will Kemp, 1600, described the Norwich Waits performers as 'Such Waytes few citties in the Realm have the like, none better, who besides their ecelency in wind instruments, their rare cunning on the viol and violin, their voices be admirable, every one of the able to serve in any catherdral church in Christendom for quiresters,' in a pamphlet telling the story of this extraordinary jig as they toured from London to Norwich, as his 'Nine Daies Wonder.' The arranger, James Merryweather, says that this anonimous early 17th century jig can be played with the top line as a solo, top and middle lines or top and bass lines as duets, or all together, as all those combinations sound wonderful. Set of 3 scores.
