Franz Liszt
Sonata in B Minor
(Revised Edition)
Arranged: Noam Sivan
A Liszt masterwork for piano is certainly unplayable using the four strings of a violin, until, that is, Sivan teamed up with violinist Giora Schmidt to create this transcription. As Liszt was moved to transcribe a Paganini masterwork for violin, so, too, was Sivan convinced that reshaping Liszt's greatest piano work would create an important new feature of the violinist's repertoire. This is a massive and challenging transcription, with inspiration and innovation by Sivan to make it, yes, playable. For advanced performers. Dur.: 30'
Solo Violin
