This Dohányi setting became a classic many years ago. It is a stunning festival piece for concert or worship. Originally written for organ, this version provides a piano accompaniment that functions on its own, but is actually a reduction of a robust new orchestration. Composed in the 1930's, the character of the piece is 20th century romanticism: classical and lush.
