This tune combines the cha-cha and the classical mambo with a touch of jazz. It should be played slightly faster than a cha-cha and somewhat slower than a mambo. Maderas means "wooden" - the piece is performed exclusively by woodwind instruments, with an optional percussion accompaniment.
