Alec Rowley, English composer and writer on music, was born on March 13th, 1892. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music, and later taught at Trinity College, both in London. He is widely known for his works for amateur forces, and also wrote many pieces for solo piano and organ. Alec Rowley died on January 11th, 1958.
