Method for the Recorder, Alto and Bass, Book 2. Contributors: Duschenes. Recorder Methods (A/B). Publisher's category: Recorder Methods.

90 pages plus regular and trill fingering charts.
In Method for the Recorder, part I, (DER1000) the student was introduced to the basic problems of the instrument and was shown how to play the twenty-seven notes that comprise the effective range of the recorder. A large number of tunes and exercises were included to give the player experience in handling the first sixteen of these notes. There was less opportunity to become familiar with the remaining notes which do not occur so frequently in pieces of a beginner's repertoire. In studying the present volume, the student will make use of the entire range of his instrument and will play pieces in all keys. Distributed throughout the book will be found sections containing a number of pieces, scales, etc. which have been introduced to provide useful and pleasant playing material which while within the instruments' range, will in many cases not be found elsewhere in suitable recorder keys. This material has been arranged progressively with the easiest pieces coming in the earlier part of the book.
