Featured on the John Fedchock New York Big Band CD Up & Running, this lively romp for proficient groups features a funky New Orleans "second line" street beat. Solos are assigned to bass clarinet (or bari sax) and trumpet. The fun, quirky melody leads to some plunger mute antics with the brass section, and Fedchock's signature voicings provide lots of harmonic integrity. After the trumpet solo, an exciting shout chorus features interjections by a Dixieland band (trumpet, bass clarinet, trombone, alto sax).
