Music for Judy [CF:164-00280]

Balance and tone color were inspiring factors as Peter Schickele composed Music for Judy for the uncommon combination of trumpet and string quartet. The inventive use of various mutes is one of many ways the composer provides a fun freshness as we hear the four movements titled: Aubade, Crazy Quilt, Intermezzo, and Polka. (For the final Polka, the composer revisits his famous Polka from Hornsmoke, but in a challenging new setting.)
