Ouverture (Suite) No 1 in F Major -ScP. Contributors: Schultze. Recorder with Keyboard or Continuo (AA, Bc). Score and Parts. Publisher's category: Recorder with Keyboard or Continuo.

Johann Christoph Schultze (ca 1733 - 1813)
The basis of this first edition is the manuscript Ms.mus. 4968 in the Mecklenburg Provincial Library in Schwerin entitled "Ouverture a 2 Flute a bec e B. c. di J. C. Schultze". Many stylistic indications point to Johann Christoph Schultze as the composer, who was born circa 1733 and died in Berlin on August 22, 1813. From 1768 he conducted the orchestra of the Dobbelin Theatre in that city. Only a few of his works have survived. The overture published here, an early work, belongs more to the type of variation suite than that of the overture suite. 11 pages score with parts.
