This beautiful piece features the piccolo trumpet. The romantic musical line and rubato style make this a terrific change of pace on a concert or recital. The remainder of the quintet, with the other trumpet player playing flugel horn, create a lush foundation of sound to support the soloist. The percussion is optional but would add a great colour to the performance. (2:10)
