Prelude Op.32.
Waterhouse, Graham.
Piano (Solo).
For: Pf.
This virtuoso composition was written in 1992 and premiered in London in 1993. Two themes are juxtaposed: a rhythmic-chromatic one and a lyrical one with complex accord superimpositions which are used in a cadence. A coda gives this piece a striking finale. Graham Waterhouse (born 1962) comes from a London family of musicians. Since 1992, he has been living in Munich where he works as a freelance composer and cello player. He is considered to be one of the most promising composers in his generation.
