Price: Two Moon Songs For Women’s Chorus and Piano [CVR:C138]

This publication includes a new edition of Price’s choral (SSA/pf) arrangement of her familiar song “The Moon Bridge” (text by Mary Rolofson Gamble) and the first modern edition of her joyous and brilliantly insightful setting of Eliza Lee Follen’s beloved poem “The New Moon” (this for obbligato soprano solo, SSAA chorus, and piano duet – one keyboard, four hands). Price published both of these in the year 1930, the latter with a dedication to Estella C. Bonds – for reasons that are positively heartwarming.
