Concerto for Cello and Orchestra [CF:114-41343]

American cellist Paul Tobias is a strong proponent of Ranjbaran's Cello Concerto, having performed the work multiple times, including performances of the second movement, Elegy, alone. Tobias has also recorded it on Albany Records with the Virginia Symphony, JoAnn Falletta conducting. Cello Concerto began as a commission from New Heritage Music, to be the composer's creative responses to the life and thought of Thomas Jefferson, but is destined to become a core component of the repertoire.
