ROMANCE IN D-FLAT MAJOR, Op. 37 is an 1871 work for flute and piano or orchestra by Camille Saint-SaĞns (1835-1921). Written shortly prior to the composer's flight to London due to the political turbulence in Paris following the Armistice of Versailles, the piece was dedicated to flutist Amİdİe de Vroye. The dedicatee gave the first chamber performance that year in Baden-Baden, Germany with Saint-SaĞns at the piano. Paul Taffanel gave the Paris premiere, the composer again accompanying, on April 6, 1872. Instrumentation: 0.2.2.2: 4.2.0.0: Timp: Str (9.8.7.6.5 in set): Solo Fl in set.
