The Adagio may be performed alone or together with the Maestoso movement (also arranged by Dorm 40 Music). Saint-Saens described the Adagio as "extremely peaceful and contemplative." Each member of the quintet is treated as a solo instrument in this beautiful arrangement. (original key of D-flat)
