Originally titled "Rhapsody in Rivets" and inspired by the composer's emotional reaction to his native New York City, the work was premiered by the Boston Symphony with Gershwin as piano soloist in 1932. This arrangement by James Ripley is based on the manuscript full score and the composer's sketches, located in the Library of Congress. This arrangement offers a wonderfully musical opportunity to spotlight your piano soloist. Parts are available for rental only. Score is sold with the piano solo included.
