Paul Juon was born in Moscow on March 6th, 1872. He lived in Berlin (during which time he worked as a composition professor under the employ of Joseph Joachim; Stefen Wolpe was one of his students) before moving to and retiring in Switzerland in 1934. Juon died in Vevey, Switzerland on August 21st, 1940.
