In our series KINGS OF THE GUITAR we now publish 3 Sonatas of the legendary violinist and composer N. Paganini whose skills on the guitar were less known when he was still alive. This collection comprises 37 Sonatas out of which the editor selected three. In these pieces which consist of two movements, short form and clarity are combined with a comparatively low technical standard. They are well-suited to revive the spirit of Viennese classic during lessons. In terms of technical skills versus effect, the sonatas No. 26, 9 and 15 mentioned here show an extremely well-balanced relation. These pieces are also perfect for small recitals.
