Adler considers the poems of a young Selma Meerbaum-Eisinger, who would become a victim of the Holocaust at the age of only 18. Her poems express an optimistic view of humanity and nature, despite the world in which she lived. Songs of Innocent Love will be performed by its dedicatee, Sabine Goetz, soprano, as part of a celebration of Adler's 90th birthday at Konzerthaus Berlin, June, 2018.
