It is now close on 50 years since Brian Jeffery gave guitarists what was then considered the first complete edition of the guitar works of Fernando Sor in a facsimile edition, a landmark publication in its time, greatly benefitting the guitar community. The intervening four decades have seen much new research in historical guitar matters, and a re-assessment of many pertinent matters in regard to Sor’s music.
