Storm Chasers [Alf:98-W9264]

Written for the Intermediate level student, this piece captures the mysterious and uncertain moods of a storm. From the beginning, a melodic figure in the RH represents the feeling of something churning and growing. The second section consists of booming bass octaves in the LH, with the RH playing a two-note slurred figure jumping across three octaves. The piece finally winds down by the end, and a pianissimo dynamic depicts a calm ending to the storm.
