SUITE BAROCCO is so-titled because the four short movements are each named for and loosely follow a form used during the Baroque period (roughly 1600-1750). The music itself however, does not attempt to imitate Baroque style. The movements are titled: 1. Canon; 2. Siciliano; 3. Passacaglia; 4. Scherzo. Written for the composer's two grand-nieces, it is good concert or contest repertoire for second or third year students.
