For bassists, a better approach to the famous Suites! Playing these classics on the doublebass injects problems and issues over and above those that a cellist would have. Part of Salles' solution is h is transcription of the Suites into the same key signature as Suite I, which lies more adequately within the normal bass range. Putting all of the Suites into the key of G makes them more playable, bu t hardly any easier! To further assist, Salles provides fingerings and bowings ("...that would make shifts as inaudible as possible").
