The Swallow is a beautiful folk song from Newfoundland in Canada, artfully arranged by Ruth Elaine Schram for unison and optional two-part treble voices. The long melodic lines and the sensitive poetry will give singers an opportunity to express a variety of emotions. In the song, a young maiden has died of a broken heart.
