From the first note to the last, solo oboe carries the day in this beautiful bossa nova setting of the famous classic. Though some brief ad lib opportunities are given, written solo lines are provided throughout. When everyone pays special attention to subtleties in phrasing and volume (the band must not overpower the soloist), the results will be very rewarding.  .
