The Fayrfax Carol was commissioned by the Choir of Kings College, Cambridge (UK) for the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on Christmas Eve, 1997. Subtle and lyrical yet with pointed, bitter-sweet harmonies, it looks ahead to Christ's Passion. A challenging, yet immensely rewarding work.
