The present collection of audition excerpts, The Flute Audition, was created for students I taught at the Salzburg Mozarteum between 2013 and 2017. It has two primary aims. First, I wanted to give students a current and internationally oriented selection of audition excerpts. I wanted to include not only the usual repertoire, but also a broad range of rarely required passages as well as excerpts for second/third flute. The second aim was to present the excerpts in a reliable and current edition.
