Moritz Moszkowski (1854-1925) was a Prussian-born pianist and composer. He was a child prodigy and became one of the best-known virtuoso pianists in Europe. He composed his five Spanish Dances, Op. 12 for piano four hands at the age of 17. They were an almost instant success and remain popular to this day. This arrangement is fully compatible with the viola and cello ensemble versions of Three Spanish Dances, so that any combination of violin, viola, and cello may play together. Graded for 1-3 level violinists.
